Changes due to Covid-19: our services are at the same times as usual – but the wearing of face coverings is now mandatory in churches unless you are exempt. Singing is not allowed at the moment and we are not running Junior Church.
In addition, we maintain 2m social distancing and a one way system of movement, we have hand sanitising stations throughout church and the building is sanitised after each service. Church is a very safe place to be.
Our main Sunday service at 9.15 is a traditional sung Eucharist with a robed choir, incense and vestments.
Once a quarter we have a Methodist Communion service (see the calendar for details). During term time we have Junior Church for children 3 and over, so parents can join in with the worship while their children are enjoying their own sort of church. See the Children and Young People page for more details.
On the first Sunday of the month at 10am we have Informal services (usually a Eucharist) which are shorter, more child-friendly services, in which our young people take an active role.
In addition, we have Messy Church once every half term, which is a new kind of church held on a day other than Sunday, which is for children and adults and aimed at all ages. It has lots of things for children to do – and always ends with a meal.
Wednesday – 10.15 am: Anglican said Eucharist or Methodist Rite (once every half term – please see the Methodist News page for dates) followed by coffee and chat in the hall.
Morning Prayer – 8.30 am Monday to Thursday. The Anglican Daily Office said by the Vicar in church, often joined by members of the congregation; open to everyone. Start the day with prayer!
Evening Prayer – 5.00 pm, Monday to Thursday. The Anglican Daily Office said by the Vicar in church, often joined by members of the congregation; open to everyone. A good way to end the working day.
